Fujin translates as the God of Wind in Japanese, and it aptly describes the great-looking tsuchime finish that master blade maker Yu Kurosaki has created for his new line of knives.
Master blacksmith Kurosaki is well respected for his abilities in forging and grinding some of the best knives we sell. His profiles, edge geometry, and fit and finish are everything you would wish for in a high end knife. Kurosaki excels in creating knives that are truly athletic in character and perform equally as well cutting hard, dense produce as they do gliding through onions. Much of this is due to how thin his knives get behind the edge and the wonderful convex grind on the blade, which becomes nearly imperceptible towards the tip.
The knife featured here is made with SG2 stainless steel which is hardened to about 63 HRC and then clad with a softer stainless steel. Yu Kurosaki is famous for his tsuchime finishes and the driving rain look of the Fujin is arguably his most unique and finest yet.Blacksmith: Yu Kurosaki

The Fujin in a beautiful knife and an excellent performer with a wonderfully executed grind. Very few if any does a better job with VG10 than Yu Kurosaki. He does lose a star from me for the laser etched kanji. Really disappointed he started using it, his chiseled kanji used to some of the coolest out there. I'm a disappointed fanboy in that regard.

This is an excellent example of how to make a knife.
Truly a looker. Really plays with light reflecting off the finish.
Great example of VG10 heattreat. Gets very sharp.
Comes with a good handle and very comfy in a pinch grip.
Great all around profile, good for anything you throw at it.
Highly recommended.
