Matsubara Knives

Matsubara blades, from Matsubara, Omura City, Nagasaki, have their origins in a blacksmithing tradition that came to the town with refugees from the Battle of Dannoura over 800 years ago. Those techniques are still being used today in producing knives and farm tools. Tanaka Kama Kogyo is a 4th generation blacksmith who owns the shop.
