This is a great little peeler. They have a large following among professional cooks because they're inexpensive and have a nice carbon steel blade that stays sharper, longer than most other peelers on the market.

Much easier to take a thin peel than with a longitudinal blade peeler. I was raised by poor folks, so waste is anathemic to me. Easier to get the blade and blade bow clean as well.
Highly recommended.

It's light. It's a bit flimsy. It rusts. BUT...it's hands down my favorite peeler. I have tried so many others and I just don't have the speed or control that this little beauty gives me. There is a reason this is one of the top choices despite it's so called shortcomings. Buy 2 or 3 and enjoy prepping veggies again!

Most of the guys at my work use these little peelers. They're cheap and sharp out of the box and once they get dull we just replace them with another. They do rust if you let them drip dry so just wipe them off when you're done with them before you put them back in your knife bag.
