There are few knife makers in Japan that can conjure up the excitement and anticipation of a new knife release than Konosuke. Our leading brand of Japanese knives ranks at the top of the table when it comes to dedicated followers and admirers of quality workmanship.
While there are makers that can equal Konosuke’s remarkable levels of fit and finish, there are none in our experience that beat it. Konosuke are the brand that many aspire to emulate.
In a slight twist to the norm, the new SKD line of knives are made in Sanjo City to Konosuke’s exacting standards. These are some of the most stunning knives to look at and hold. Balance, fit and finish, and aesthetic appeal are top of the tree. The knife features a stunning hammered face and light grey kurouchi finish, which is so unusual in itself. This is quite simply one of the most beautiful knives we sell. Fit and finish are world class. Pure Konosuke! The blade is quite stiff and it features some lovely hand chiseled kanji characters. The finish of the spine, choil, and neck are about as good as they come, and the ebony octagonal handle is one of the nicest being produced right now.Maker: Konosuke

Classic konosuke in the sanjo style, great distel taper, it gets pretty thin behind the edge but has some spine for strength. Fabulous f and f as always with konosuke, ebony handle gives a great balance , I would buy this blade all over again in a heart beat.
