The all new Konosuke GS+ line is new and improved to give a higher level of performance to an already great knife. The GS+ line has an HRC of 61-62, smoother grinds, better fit and finish, and new Khii chestnut octagon handles. You'll notice a small gap between the handle and the machi which is mostly aesthetic and it's often called "Tokyo Style" since many knives made in Tokyo have this feature. Japanese swords often have this gap to accommodate the hilt (called a Tsuba) and this alludes to that tradition. Enjoy!

I own this knife for 2 months already and now I don't imagine how would I live without it. It's so sharp. It literally cuts squash as if it's an apple. And it stays sharp for really long time. And it's so light. Definitely good knife for everyday use.

I own the 240 as well, but wife was a bit intimidated by its' size, so we got her a smaller one. Like the 240, the fit and finish is excellent. The out-of-the-box edge was excellent as well. A few passes on a leather strop and it was screamin' sharp! The 240 has great edge retention, and mine has only been sharpened once since getting it (the 240) in November; it's now February :)The blade is insanely thin and slides through the product like a laser. The balance of the knife is superb. With a pinch grip, the entire weight of the knife is in your hand - the blade almost becomes transparent/nonexistent. It's going to be difficult to beat this knife.
