Just ran a Maxamet blade with micro-chipping through these three plates and I'm seriously impressed. Maxamet is notoriously difficult to sharpen because of its super high hardness.
Shapton Glass stones are my usual medium and I have an Atoma diamond in 140gr. The Shaptons put a nice polish on the Maxamet but couldn't fix the chipping.
10 minutes and these diamond plates made it like new. I'm going to order a second set because (at this price)..why not?!

How do I like these diamond plates? If I was Edge Pro I'd make these the stock plates that come with both Edge Pro models. I have an Edge Pro Apex that is mounted to a plywood base that I I use regularly as part of my sharpening service. These diamond plates have made me forget where I put my stock Edge Pro water stones. They do everything that a stone can do better.
