CKTG 400 Grit Diamond Plate for Edge Pro. These diamond plates are glued onto a base Edge Pro plate for easy use on the machine. Diamond plates work great on the edge pro because they don't dish and cut just about any steel. This one is 400 grit (52 average micron) and is excellent for refining your edge and removing metal quickly before moving up to higher grit stones. Measures 155mm x 25mm x 1.75mm and weighs 1.4oz. We are attaching the base plate to these so it's ready to use. The height of the stone is 8.5mm with the base attached.

More often than not, I find that I am finishing with this CKTG 400 diamond on working knives of every type. The diamonds are very consistent in size and with finishing buy using very light strokes, it leaves a nice hair popping edge that is excellent for both fixed and folder users.
These stones are a must have IMO, I use 400, 1000 diamond then the 1200 A/0 stone for the final step and have no problem getting a scratch free mirror if I use the tapes and strop after that. Using a large assortment of stones is not necessary. I will only use the 140 grit diamond for heavy profiling and it really hogs the metal off too. I don't even use the 220, 400, 600, 1000 stones anymore, to be honest got tired of leveling them and not necessary with these.
I'm really impressed. My knives are really hard steel and wanted something that would cut faster than the EP stones. Worked out perfect for my needs and I would definitely recommend.
I really like this stone, good feedback and it cuts a lot quicker than the Edge Pro 220 grit. So far I've used it on s30v, cts-hxp, and 8cr13mov and it works equally well on all of them.
I got all 3 CKTG diamond stones. They're great. The 140 is good for hogging away material in a hurry. The 400 and the 1000 are well spaced to move on. For reference, the CKTG 1000 is not at fine as the Edge Pro SF diamond, so for now I"m going on to it and then to Shapton glass. I back up to the 500, but that may be excessive. It's working really nice, and I LOVE not having to flatten those course stones all the time when I'm setting the bevel to my Edge Pro on a new knife.
