First, I don't find the switch a problem at all. It's small, but the whole thing is small. It's easy to turn the light on and off. I don't personally find the magnification high enough to see the burrs, but I go by feel with them anyway. What it does show quite well is how clean your edge is. You'll see vividly if it's convexed or if you let the angle change. It'll keep you honest, and humble you, and show you when you're messing up or doing better in a way your naked eye can't. If your edge is crisp on the spine side and flat all the way across, the way it should be, you'll see that too. Guaranteed to improve your sharpening if you see and adjust the next time. Best nine bucks you'll ever spend on the maintenance side. Was this rating helpful to you?
