The Jones Walnut knife block is very well made with a good heft, and made with beautiful dark walnut which has 14 slots for your knives. There you can store most petty, santoku, bunka, gyuto knives that will fit easy into the slots. However, wide knives such as large nakiri knives I found do not fit at all. It makes a very nice knife center piece for the kitchen due to the dynamic design.
