      Beautiful knife!, December 6, 2023
    Posted By: Martin Zimmerman

I loaned my Tojiro DP petty to my sister, of course she didn’t want to return it. That’s a good knife, but I decided to upgrade to something a little flashier. This caught my eye. I’ve had it now for 5 months. I was unfamiliar with the metal and initially tried a 20 deg total bevel angle. The edge degraded pretty quickly. So then I freehand honed it to something more like 30 degrees. The new edge has held up quite well. It cuts through pretty much everything with ease, has not had any rust issues and is quite beautiful to look at. Yeah it would have been cheaper to get another Tojiro DP, but I am entirely satisfied with this purchase.
