The Gestura Gold Slotted Spoon carries the same construction pedigree as the rest of the line, stamped and lathe finished in Mr. Okada's workshop in Niigata, then finished in gold plating that gives it a warmer, richer look on the pass or the plate. The slotted design is built for draining excess liquid while lifting solids, whether that is straining pasta water off a portion, lifting blanched vegetables clear of their cooking liquid, or plating something that needs to arrive at the table without a pool of sauce trailing behind it.
The tumbled matte texture is applied before the gold plating, which gives the surface an intentionally worn, imperfect character consistent with the flea market vintage aesthetic that inspired the Gestura line. The tapered tip and flared wing profile carry over from the rest of the line, now cut through with slotting in the bowl, giving it the same confident, bowl-heavy balance in hand while doing a completely different job at the stove or the pass.
Care Instructions: Hand wash only. The gold plating holds up well to regular kitchen use but should not go in the dishwasher. Dry thoroughly after washing.

Received my beautiful spoon this morning. This spoon was SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE. I’ve been on the restock waiting list for just a short few weeks and was pleased to receive the restock notification. I purchased the spoon immediately received the parcel a couple days later. The spoon is large and I absolutely love the matte finish.
