This is what we put on all our strops to allow them to be stuck on our metal strop base without moving. It's a magnetic backing that's flexible and has a sticky side to it. Just cut whatever you want to size, peel off the protective paper and stick it to your strop and you're good to go.

These magnetic strips are a great way to anchor your stones so they stay immobile during sharpening. Once you lay your stone on the magnetic plate the backing strip on your stone holds like glue. That way you get a sharp edge and the only thing that moves is the knife.

Magnetic strips are a very useful amd versatile product. For example they can be cut to size and used to stick items on refrigerators as well as placing strops on metal bases. These magnetic strips are of good quality and are an excellent value.
