Yu Kurosaki is one of our featured blacksmiths on the site. We started working with him several years ago, soon after he completed his apprenticeship with Kato-san He now has his own factory and is turning out great blades. Kurosaki-san is the youngest blacksmith to be granted the title of Master Nokaji by TKV. This is a high honor considering all the excellent smiths Takefu Village has turned out over the past 40 years.
This Kurosaki R2 Wa-Petty is a beautifully crafted knife. R2 steel is a highly regarded alloy for making fine kitchen blades. The core steel is covered with a stainless steel in a san-mai construction. The knife is laser thin and it comes with a traditional style octagonal rosewood handle.Weight: 2.5 ounces

What a special little knife this is! Really beautiful to look at and performs even better. I was able to sharpen it to a razors edge and it retains it through quite a bit of use. Kurosaki San makes incredible knives and has a customer for life. CKTG gave great service as always. Thanks guys.
