C. DavisMy wife scares the hell out of me when she tried to use my 240 mm gyuto. After buying her a Mercer and teaching her some basic knife skills I wanted to get a better knife. I ended up going with this 180mm gyuto instead of a santoku because of the price/steel. I'm actually shocked at how useful this size is. I usually use a 240 or 270mm gyuto but I do find myself reaching for this when I make sandwiches and need some quick prep. The wife loves it because it cuts as well as my higher end knives. I like this so much I just bought a 270mm to replace another 270mm gyuto that I don't care for. Was this rating helpful to you?
