This is a very high precision fixture which produces excellent results. There's a real tool-room touch to the way it's put together as well as in the design of the blade clamping system. Putting it onto the Edge Pro is made easier by loosening the Phillips screw on the low pivot as there is zero slop in the rest of the device; just snug it back up once things are in place. It produces first rate results with the Shapton Glass stones.

One recommendation when sharpening scissors, bring one half up to a full polish and leave the other half at 120 grit. This prevents objects from being pushed out of the scissors because they will bite into the rough half and be cut by the polished half.
