Shapton Glass Stone 120 For Edge Pro. This stone is bonded to a plate so it will fit on the edge pro machine. The 120 grit stone is the most coarse stone in the Shapton Glass stone series and these are made at the factory to fit the edge pro.

Adhesive Came undone, April 12, 2021

So to get things out of the way, this stone is great at removing material. I'm fairly new to sharpening but everything I read about these stones was great from build quality to the scratch pattern to how durable they are compared to the factory stones. I finally got them and started to fix a paring knife and was about half way through thinning one side of the edge when the adhesive on the stone separated from the block. I'm not using any special lubricant or anything other than soapy water. It's great at removing material but now I suppose i'm going back to my Edge Pro stone because those I've had no issues with so far. I'm extremely disappointed especially for $37.00 compared to the $17.00 the Edge Pro stones are.
