The Naniwa Chosera Pro 3,000 sits at the transition point between medium-grit sharpening and fine finishing, making it one of the most flexible stones in the Pro lineup. For many kitchen knives, a 3,000-grit edge strikes an excellent balance between sharpness, bite, and durability, making it well suited for everyday food preparation without the fragility of ultra-polished edges.
This stone also serves as an ideal stepping stone for sharpeners who prefer more refined progressions. It effectively cleans up the scratch pattern left by 1,000 or 2,000 grit stones and prepares the edge for higher-grit finishers such as 5,000 or even 10,000 grit stones when maximum keenness is desired. The fast-cutting nature of the Chosera Pro series allows this refinement to happen efficiently without excessive time on the stone.
Like the rest of the Chosera Pro line, the 3,000 grit stone cuts quickly, dishes slowly, and delivers smooth, controlled feedback that makes edge development easy to monitor. It is designed for splash-and-go use; a light surface wetting is sufficient, while extended soaking is not recommended due to the resin-bonded construction.
Stone Size: 210mm x 70mm x 20mm
Please note: Naniwa has updated the name of this stone from the Chosera 3,000 to the Naniwa Chosera Pro 3,000 (sometimes spelled Chocera). The stone itself remains unchanged.

Bought in conjunction with the 1000 and 8000 stones and love the bite on this stone above either of the other stones. I have a 1000 and 4000 by another maker which I will be giving away. That's how much I like these stones.

Love this stone! Works great on straight razors to really reinforce the bevel after the 1k. Used it on a few knives as well after the 1k. Love the feel and feedback of this one. Highly recommended.

Fabulous stone! It muds up well and produces a usable, extremely sharp, and polished edge. I bought it as a step to my 6k stone, but it's actually good enough to be the final edge for most of my woodworking needs. Fast, dish resistant, super cutter, honer, and polisher. What more could one ask?!
