The 400 grit Atoma plate featured here leaves a nice aggressive toothy edge that has great edge retention. These stones are a bit pricey but consider that you’ll never have to flatten them and since they’re all the same thickness and will never change thickness. You will get consistent angles on your EP without having to use a stop collar/marker/angle cube when switching stones. Great for wear resistant steels.
