Here is the brand new Richmond plating spoon. Great for work, home or school. This is a perfect size for saucing plates during service or as a serving spoon at home. High quality stainless steel, comfortable handle. The spoon bowl holds 2.5 tablespoons and it's 9 inches long. Once you try a good saucing spoon you won't want to be without it when working the line.

This spoon is an exact copy of the Kunz spoon, which really is all you need to know if you're familiar with that spoon. It weighs in at 2 grams heavier than the Kunz but using it I feel no difference. I can't tell the difference between my Richmond and Kunz spoons sticking out of the spoon bain. If you like the Kunz, but can't stomach $12 per spoon, definitely pick these up as a slightly cheaper alternative.

I love plating spoons, so I picked up one of these to see what they were about. The next order I picked up four more. This spoon matches my Kunz spoon step for step and is less expensive. It's sturdy enough to move a 20 qt rondeau across the range without needing to reach for a towel and delicate enough to plate a single scallop, then sauce the plate. For a home cook, I recommend it highly. For a pro, I can't recommend it highly enough.
