I was looking for a short wa-handled bread knife and there weren't many choices. This knife was fairly priced, not too long and I am pleased to say, when I received it, met all my expectations. It's beautiful and feels well made and solid. It's also very, very sharp. I recommend it!

I've been looking for a wa-handled bread knife for years (one that wouldn't break my budget), and finally found one! Very happy with how light it is, perfect length, and great cutting performance. A+++

I've been looking for a WA handled bread knife for ages. It just didn't seem right to have an entire set of various Japanese knife types/steels all in Japanese handle style to have a bread knife with a western handle. This knife is so good! Has a great feel. Super sharp and glides through crusty loaves! First knife with 1K6 steel so it's fun to have something unique. The only way to best this would be a more elaborate pattern, such as Damascus, hammered or something, but I'm happy. Works great and feels great to use. The handle is really nice quality. I'm always trying to find bread to cut now!
