After using cBN .125 micron with a nano cloth blank on an Edge Pro on s30v, cpm 154, D2, and Zdp189 I can confirm that the emulsion and nano strop work together to produce the finest edge that is currently obtainable on knife steel. It also works faster than any other strop abrasive combination that I have ever experienced. All I can add is just try it for yourself. No hype just fact

At first I thought they sent me a drill stop with the hole too large. I couldn't get it to tighten onto the post without forcing it more than I thought was needed. I removed the screw, put a tiny amount of oil on the threads and she tightens easily. Try it if yours seems difficult. Thank you Knives TG & Ben Dale !

You have to buy this thing, you will get the sharpest edge in the quickest manor with this tool. Most people do not even consider the ever so slight difference in the stone sizes due to use and leveling. Even the tinniest change in thickness when changing stones will drastically change your result. Instead of having to use a marker and re adjust your arm for ever stone, this thing does it all for you. I can't imagine using the edge pro without it! It is genius.

Hard to review something as simple as a 'drill-stop collar'. It came as described. What mattered more to me about this order is that shipping was fast and reasonably priced. Will order again and would have no hesitation on ordering something more substantial.

Must have, should be standard for every EP. This is the only way to get perfect edges time after time. Even when your stones are all about as thick, over time some stones will wear faster than others.With this thingy you will have no problem with that.

Take the stone off of your edge pro and rest the bar on the guide. Now mount a stone and rest it on the guide again. See the angle change? The same thing happens to a lesser degree when you use stones that have different thicknesses. And, naturally, they all *are* different. The drill stop collar lets you compensate for the different thickness of the stones in the blink of an eye. There are several videos on YouTube showing how to set it up. I think this item is a must buy for anyone with an Edge Pro, especially when you are using the finer stones. It takes you from being close to right to perfect every time.

Pretty good solution for the stone width issue w/ EP. Will say might be more useful on EP pro than Apex, as the most acute sharpening angle you can achieve with thick stones like Shapton when using the stop collar is 13.6?
